International Advanced Course: Strategic Communication & Applied Ethics in Nanobiotechnology

An intensive training course for nanobiotechnology researchers on public communication and the ethical implications of nanobiotechnology. The course consists of an alternating programme of expert lectures, case studies, media training, role play, group discussions and debate.
Course participants will acquire:
- knowledge of the relevant ethical, legal and social aspects of nanobiotechnology
- skills to communicate effectively with the media and the public
- understanding of issues involved in the public acceptance of nanobiotechnology
This course is organised by Nanobio-RAISE, a European Commission Co-ordination Action bringing together nanobiotechnologists, ethicists and communication specialists with the aim of anticipating the societal and ethical issues likely to arise as nanobiotechnologies develop.
