Biotrans 2005, the 7th International Symposium on Biocatalysis and Biotransformation, organised in collaboration with the EFB-Section on Applied Biocatalysis (ESAB), will take place from 3-8 July 2005, in Delft (the Netherlands).
On 6-7 May 2004, the European Commission Directorate "Science and Society" - "Ethics and Science" is organising in Brussels a citizens' and stakeholders' conference on "Human genetic testing, what implications?"
The course programme is designed to provide the theory and skills necessary for effective interactive communication in biotechnology. The workshop is targeted at PhD students, post-graduates and lecturers in research institutes and companies from throughout Europe Accession Countries.
EMBO practical workshops are based around hands-on practical experiments that will give participants an insight into the techniques used in molecular biology today. In this way the project aims to widen the scope of biology teachers' practical resources, and build their confidence to introduce molecular biology practicals into the school laboratory.
